Dance To The Doctors

It's been widely-reported that people have taken up ballroom and latin all over the country.

The Telegraph reports that this has lead to a rise in dance-related injuries.

Anton du Beke told the paper: "Different dances have different risks. If you are doing a jive or a quickstep, any dance that involves a lot of springy jumps, that can make the balls of your feet very sore. That was the case with Kate [Garraway], who suffered badly from tendonitis. But some of her problems stemmed from bad technique, which will always increase the risk of injury for amateurs. With the foxtrot and the rhumba, the risk is about the muscles in the leg compressing and tightening, which can be painful."
