Vincent's Ready To Tango

Vincent Simone is ready for the Midnight Tango tour that he is taking on the road with Flavia Cacace.

He told Portsmouth's The News: "It’s going to be amazing, firstly because I’m involved and secondly because everyone else is so amazing – the singer, band, dancers, director, everything. It’s set in a typical bar in Argentina, run by a husband and wife and different characters turn up though the door. There’s a huge story. I don’t want to say too much about it, but the story on it’s own is something to see."

It's long been a dream of Vincent & Flavia's to do their own show: "We have always wanted to do our own show, but we were too busy before with Strictly, teaching and competing. After we got involved with Strictly, everything got amplified. The amount of requests we get to teach and appear and perform is out of this world. We never had a moment to sit down and say “right, let’s organise this” because we always had so much work coming in. But it’s always been our dream to do our own show."

Bruce Likely To Return

Bruce Forsyth is set to return for the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing this autumn.

According to the Daily Mail, he is ready to sign following his slightly reduced role as well as the tweaks to the format last year.

A source told the paper: "Bruce says he feels invigorated after giving up the results show last year. That was the thing that really exhausted him. Before making that change, he had to stay on in the studio to pre-record the Sunday night show and didn’t get home until past midnight, so now he feels much more rested."

Leaving Strictly "Like A Divorce"

The press still like to run stories about Arlene Phillips and Strictly.

The Manchester Evening News picked up on a speech she gave in the city recently: “I shall always miss Strictly. In many ways it was like a divorce, you miss the person you were married to for so long. But life goes on and it’s a really good life.”

Kara Heads 'Up West'

Yet another Strictly star is swapping the floor for the boards - Kara Tointon has been cast in a West End revival of Pygmalion, starring alongside Rupert Everett.

A friend of Kara's told the Daily Telegraph: “Kara is absolutely thrilled. She was wondering how on earth she could follow her success on Strictly, but now, thanks to Philip Prowse, who is directing the production, she has the chance to establish herself as a major star. She has already started rehearsals and the chemistry between her and Everett is electrifying.”

Oh No They're Not! Oh Yes They Are!

We haven't even cracked open our Easter eggs, but plans for the festive season are already in place.

Craig Revel Horwood is to reprise his role as the wicked queen in Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. But this time he's joined by Ann Widdecombe who will play the queen's servant Widdy.

The pair, who teamed up for the Strictly tour, will tread the boards this Christmas at The Orchard theatre in Dartford (so perhaps Len will pop in to watch!).

Ann told the News Shopper: “I can hardly believe all the wonderful opportunities which have opened up through Strictly Come Dancing. Craig and I have had enormous fun on the tour of the show and I am sure we can make that fun infectious during the run of Snow White.”

I have seen Craig in panto the past two years, and he was divine. Having Ann on board will mean a re-working of the script, so I'm sure I'll be seeing it again in 2011.

It Takes Two To Vacuum

Here is a clip of Vincent & Flavia which has been keeping everyone amused this week. It's a promo for an AEG vacuum cleaner. It's well worth watching. Now that's what I call product placement!

Kristina's Food Day

Want to know what a Strictly pro eats on tour?

Kristina let The Telegraph in on her day.

A sensible diet of porridge, cauliflower soup, grilled fish and fruit are what keeps her performance fit.

Who Do You Think You Are, Len?

Len Goodman has been filming You Do You Think You Are?, and has learned about his great-great-grandfather, who was so poor he was sent to a workhouse.

A source told The Sun: "Len was shocked to discover this about his family. He is a proud East Ender. The poverty was absolutely awful."

Look out for the programme later this year.

Claudia Is Actually Pregnant!

There have been more rumours about Claudia being pregnant over the years than any other person involved in Strictly.

But this time it's actually true.

Claudia confirmed the news on Twitter, tweeting: "Thank you very much for your messages. It's true I'm having a baby. Although to be frank, on the scan it looked more like a goat."

This is Claudia's third child.

Presuming she is at 12 weeks (the point when people traditionally come clean about pregnancy), the baby will be due in late August or early September. Will she be back for It Takes Two? And if not, who could possibly replace her?

If only JLC hadn't done that deal with Five...

Vincent & Flavia's Ballet

Ever wanted to see Vincent in tights? Or Flavia in a tutu?

Now you can, as they have done a Black Swan-inspired shoot for the Sunday Mirror.

Vincent & Flavia have not done any ballet during their dance careers. Flavia explains: "I would have loved to have done it, but I never did. I started doing ballroom when I was five and Vincent started when he was about seven. But I just tried the pointe shoes on and actually managed to get on my toes. I was showing off to Vincent going, “Look! I told you I could do it”."

Meanwhile, Vincent would like to grace the silver screen: "I feel that we have done everything possible. But to be in a movie would be the icing on the cake!"

Strictly Secret

Tess Daly is glad Kara & Artem have been open about their off-screen relationship.

She told New! magazine: “They are such a cute couple – but thank God that finally a couple came clean about it. There’s always tons of romance, but no one ever admits it.”

Of course, Tess tries very had to get couples to admit it, even if they don't want to. We all cringed at the TV when she tried to 'out' Matt & Flavia or Ali & Brian. I'd rather she just left it down to the couples to decide in their own time. It's hard enough trying to start a relationship, let alone when your every move is, literally, being watched. The last thing they need is Tess trying to get them to admit to something they don't even know if they feel yet.
