Rebecca Adlington Turned Down Strictly

Olympian Rebecca Adlington turned down to chance to appear on Strictly Come Dancing this year to focus on her swimming.

She told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Strictly got in touch with me and suggested me being on the show. They wanted me as a contestant or as a late addition to do an evening or the whole series. I'm not quite sure which because I didn't have time to consider it. I needed to get back into the pool, plus I wanted a holiday and to spend time with my family."

But she will be cheering on fellow swimmer Mark.
