Lesson 26
Anton was busy training with Kate, so we were looked after by the fabulous amateur latin couple Nathan & Tamara. I like having different teachers now and then, because you get a different teaching style and pick up different tips. And Nathan & Tamara were adorable.
We started with a basic cha cha and then moved on to a basic jive. Nothing too taxing.
I wasn't going to stay for the second class, but when talk turned to doing paso doble, I couldn't resist. Anton doesn't do it very often, and everyone seemed keen.
This was my first ever paso lesson, and I loved it! I'm such a drama queen at heart, and it totally worked for me. It's quite intimidating to hold the man's gaze, but if you manage it, it's so cool! It helps if the person you're locking eyes with is a bit on the attractive side too, of course. I can totally see why the SCD participants quite often end up in giggles when they are training. I want to do paso every week now!
