BBC Deny Favouring Kelly
According to Entertainmentwise.com, various Strictly participants have complained that the BBC have been favouring Kelly Brook over other contestants.
The BBC denies this, saying: "The show is not being fixed in Kelly's favour. It is totally fair. Everyone is being treated the same. Kelly's picture has been used by lots of media outlets because she is very photogenic but that is not our decision."
I have to side with the BBC on this one. It is true that perhaps Kelly has appeared in the press more than the other participants, and that her picture has been used as illustration more then the others for stories about Strictly.
However, that is the decision of the editors of these publications, and not anything to do with the BBC. Kelly has long been the darling of the red-tops, and they are interested in printing stories about her. It happens every year that one participant gets more coverage than the rest.
The other participants just have to prove themselves on the dancefloor.
