Pre-Recorded Results?
HeatWorld.com reports that the new Sunday results show will actually be pre-recorded, and not live. So perhaps not as disruptive as I first thought.
However, I like that idea even less. Firstly, there will be a audience of lucky so-and-sos who will know the result before the nation. Second, it means they can edit it, film pick-ups and generally play with the footage. After all the hoo-ha over 'fixing' at the moment, I don't think it is wise.
If you saw Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe on BBC Four last night, you'll know how The X Factor used pick-ups and 'noddy' shots in its audition shows. We don't want that on our Strictly.
Wrong, wrong, wrong...

surely with everything the bbc have had to contend with re: competitions and live voting etc, the show can’t be pre-recorded if people are still phone voting?

The lines are only open until 9pm. The results show is recorded after that.
