Zoe Departs It Takes Two

Zoe Ball has announced that she will not return to It Takes Two this autumn.

Zoe became the presenter of It Takes Two in 2011, when Claudia joined the main Saturday night show. For the past two series she has shared presenting duties with Rylan Clark-Neal.

It won't come as a huge surprise that Ian Waite has also decided to depart from the show:

I would expect that Rylan will now become the sole presenter of ITT going forward, but you never know. Producers make some odd decisions sometimes.

It won't come as a surprise that I am going to miss Zoe immensely. She's bonkers and funny and empathetic and is a genuine fan of the show herself. I really hope that if they bring in someone other than Rylan that is someone who loves the show as much as we do as viewers.

Likewise, if they keep a preview like 'Waite's Warm Up', I hope they they use a former pro again. Someone who can offer real feedback and insight to the couples if they choose to listen. Any of the rota of Choreography Corner pros could take it on. Joanne Clifton would be my choice, as I love the similes she uses to explain dance steps. It's so unique. But with her musical theatre career moving upwards, I'm not sure she would always be available.
