Bez: "I’d Have A Top Time"

Bez from the Happy Mondays has revealed that he'd like to join the cast of Strictly Come Dancing, and would give it everything.

Bez is famed for his dance moves and playing maracas for the Manchester band in the late 1980s. He also won Celebrity Big Brother in 2005.

Bez told the Daily Mirror: “Strictly Come Dancing? I’d have a top time and give it 100%. I reckon I could go all the way...dancing has made me famous, and entertaining people is what I do best. I’ve lost count of the number of blokes who’ve come up to me over the years and said ‘thanks for making it OK for indie guys to get on the dance floor’.”

I think Bez would be a fantastic signing for Strictly. Bez is known for his moves, but can he learn choreography and have the discipline and concentration requited for ballroom and latin? I would love to find out.

Dancing Danniella?

Former EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook would like to have a go at Strictly Come Dancing.

In an interview with The Sun following the Celebrity Big Brother final, in which she finished fifth, she told the paper: "I’ve got two left feet but I’d like to do Strictly."

I'd actually quite like to see Danniella give it a go. She is a very determined woman. I'm sure that she'd work really hard. She was great on Big Brother, and finishing fifth means she had a good deal of the public on her side.

Georgia's Final Nightmare

Georgia May Foote's Strictly fairytale ended in a nightmare after the final, when her then boyfriend Sean Ward verbally and physically attacked her.

According to The Sun, Sean's jealousy overflowed into a physical attack in their hotel room following the wrap party. A source told the paper: “Sean went absolutely mental and Georgia was left terrified and covered in bruises. She was black and blue. It was a horrible end to what should have been her biggest triumph. After the final, Georgia and Sean went back to her room. He was acting very strangely and started a huge fight. Georgia just wanted to go sleep but he flew into a jealous rage and started smashing everything up. He was also really cruel to her, calling her names. She was pleading with him to let her out but he wouldn’t. In the end her screams were heard and staff were called. After that Georgia wanted nothing more to do with Sean. Katie Derham’s husband John even ended up involved. It was a messy affair. Georgia was incredibly upset and grateful that her cries had been heard.”

Within days, Georgia was in Disneyland Paris with her Strictly partner Giovanni Pernice. The pair have since moved in together.

Anastacia For Strictly?

Could Anastacia be a participant in the next series of Strictly?

The singer was a performer on the Blackpool show, and reportedly endeared herself to the producers while she was there. A source told the Daily Mirror: “Anastacia was a hit with the team and everyone loved her when she performed on the show in November. She has a great feel-good energy and is right for the demographic of 30 to 40 something viewers who remember her in her heyday. She has been approached early so she can make accommodation arrangements as she is based in America. The timing would be brilliant as she has would have just finished a tour and is working on new music, so it would be great for her profile."
