Strictly Eurovision?

According to the Daily Star, Strictly bosses are already looking ahead to this autumn's series, and are interested in recruiting Swedish Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw.

A source told the paper: “He is very good-looking too, so would provide great eye candy.”

Måns was a fantastic Eurovision winner, but I just don't think he's quite famous enough in the UK to be included. Only Eurovision fans would know who he is.

Hannah Spearritt: "I Would Love To Dress Up Every Week"

For ever celebrity that turns down Strictly, another would love to take part. Former S Club 7 singer and Casualty actress Hannah Spearritt would love to take part in the show.

TV3 reports that Hannah said recently: "Oh my God, Strictly Come Dancing is amazing. It's kind of got better and better over time. It's kind of overtaken X Factor. The standard is incredible. That would totally be amazing. It would be so much fun. I can't imagine actually being able to do it. I would love to dress up every week. I love dressing up. I don't know if I'd be able to learn all those steps. Quickstep would be so hard. I think my brain would be miles behind."

Fellow S Clubber Rachel Stevens reached the final, so Hannah would have a lot to live up to.

Mary Berry has revealed that she turned down the chance to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 80 year-old Great British Bake Off star told the Radio Times: "I do enjoy watching it but I wouldn't do it myself. My husband and children would kill me! I have two left feet and would make a terrible fool of myself."

Joe McElderry: "I'd Love To Do Strictly"

Joe McElderry, 2009 X Factor winner, would love to take part in Strictly.

TV3 reports that Joe said recently: ''I'd love to do Strictly. I'm a creative dancer, so I'd love to do that. That would be an amazing one to be a part of. I mean I'm not a brilliant dancer, but in my head I think I am Beyoncé.''

So far, no-one associated with The X Factor has been on Strictly, but you never know. Maybe Joe could be the first.

Giovanni's New Photo - Relationship Confirmed?

Giovanni Pernice has posted a photo of himself and Georgia May Foote which appears to confirm that the pair are a couple.

Following a trip to Disneyland Paris at New Year, where the pair were spotted together, Giovanni posted the photo on his Instagram page with the simple caption "GG ❤️ @georgiamay112"

Kristina Reveals She Is Leaving Strictly

Kristina Rihanoff has revealed that she will not be returning to Strictly Come Dancing, and had decided to leave before she found out she was pregnant.

In an interview with Hello! magazine given before she entered the Big Brother house, Kristina said that her decision was based on the diminishing creative control she had on her routines: "Strictly takes a toll on your life. It's very intense and it's worth it if you feel like you are fulfilling yourself as an artist… those moments when you feel you have done great choreography to a great song and a good concept. But I feel some of that creativity was being taken out of my hands."

Despite that, Kristina is still sorry to be leaving: "It's a bittersweet situation. I was on Strictly for eight years and I always loved the dancing side of it, but I feel relieved because I wasn't happy towards the end. I'm also sad because I'm going to miss everyone. I will always be grateful for the fantastic opportunity that Strictly gave me to be part of such a brilliant show."

Kristina is a fantastic choreographer and teacher, and she will be missed on Strictly. She never won the glitterball, but made the final with Jason Donovan and Simon Webbe, with whom she went on to win the Strictly live tour.

Kristina Rihanoff has announced to her fellow housemates on Big Brother that she is expecting a baby.



Congratulations, Kristina! Anyone who's read her book will know how much she loves children. I'm sure she'll be a brilliant mum.

Georgia & Giovanni Spend New Year At Disneyland

Georgia & Giovanni were spotted seeing the new year in together at Disneyland Paris, which has promoted the tabloids to report that they are now a couple.

An onlooker told the Sun on Sunday: “They were definitely trying to keep a low profile, but seemed really besotted. I almost didn’t recognise Georgia when I saw her. But once I’d seen them both, it was a real surprise to see how much they were behaving like a couple. They were kissing in full view of lots of people. People definitely started to notice them in the hotel."

The Daily Mail report that Georgia and boyfriend Sean Ward ended their relationship shortly after the Strictly final, which took place on 19th December, due to Sean's discomfort with Georgia's relationship with Giovanni.

A source told the paper: "Georgia was very fond of Sean and she cared for him deeply, but he found it difficult to get over the close friendship she had with Giovanni. It was Sean who pushed Georgia away, he didn't feel secure in their relationship and it led to huge rows."

I am not going to get into a debate about the Strictly 'curse'. If Georgia and Giovanni are both single, good luck to them both.

I can see how easy it might be to fall for someone you are spending all that time with, especially when you are pressed up against each other all day for three months, but for every relationship which ends as a result of Strictly, there are plenty more which come out completely unscathed.
