Goldie: "I Was A Bit Shocked"

Goldie has admitted that he was a bit shocked to be the first to leave Strictly Come Dancing.

He told The Mirror: "It's water off a duck's back. Coming middle of the leaderboard you think you're safe, but it's a dangerous place to be. To win you have to be either really good, or hilarious. I was a bit shocked, to be honest - Kristina doesn't deserve it."

Meanwhile, the Daily Star reports that Goldie was angry and feels that the show is not about the quality of the participants' dancing: “This is meant to be a dance competition but it seems it’s more about entertainment. If I had wanted to join that gang, then I could have fallen down the stairs or ripped off Kristina’s dress. But I didn’t want to do that. I like a laugh behind the scenes and might put fake dog poo on the dance floor in rehearsals, but on the live show it’s about the dance and the contest. To go out this early and with those good comments is harsh. But I’d been warned that being a good dancer isn’t enough in this show. I think if there had been a dance-off, the judges would have saved me. I probably didn’t get many votes because my fans don’t watch Strictly.”
