Splitly Come Dancing
Strictly is to return to a 2-part format.
The Mirror reports that the show will return to having a separate results show later on a Saturday evening from the quarter finals onwards, to allow a longer voting window.
The format was ditched after the 2006 series, when the results show moved to the unpopular Sunday slot.
A BBC spokesperson told the paper: "The current 15-minute window doesn't give enough time for the calls to get through as the contest hots up."
Of course, ultimately it's about ratings and phone revenues, but I think it's a brilliant move. I always preferred Strictly that way. And I missed out on voting this week because I missed the numbers and they don't scroll them on screen enough.

Never mind the fact that we bloggers won't have to sit in front of the TV for 2 1/2 hours straight so that we don't miss anything.
I might actually be able to start going out on a Saturday night again!

It's got nothing to do with phone revenue as the BBC doesn't get any money at all from the phone votes!
