Ann Vetoed Priscilla Number
Ann Widdecome vetoed a Priscilla, Queen of the Desert inspired number after she discovered it was about drag queens.
The Daily Telegraph reports than Anton explained all on The One Show: "I wanted to do a big camp Priscilla, Queen of the Desert number. I told her it would be all sequins and head pieces, and she was up for it. I did think to myself 'Actually, I'm not quite sure you know what this is,' but I decided to run with it. Then on Thursday she discovered what Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was actually about. She just said: 'No. I'm not doing that. It's all about transvestites.' That was the end of the discussion. I laughed. When Ann doesn't want to do something, there's none of that debating nonsense."
