Lesson 37
It was my first Monday class in quite a while.
We started with a bit of quickstep. It was something they'd worked on while I was away. Since when was a fishtail a beginners step? Not that I mind myself...
Then we did some jive. Jive is fast becoming one of my favourite dances to do. I love it. Some of the men weren't sure what to do with their left arms, I noticed.
In the second class we did tango. I probably picked it up better than I have anything in that class for a while, but it was far from correct. I love the challenge of that class, but so often I'm left feeling like a failure. One day we're going to do something and I'm going to nail it. I just don't know when that is going to be!

I can sympathise with struggling with the tango - there's just so much to remember! Think about the unique posture/style and the steps go, and vice versa. Nightmare dance to get looking good.
